Therapy for Parents of
LGBTQ+ or Neurodivergent Children
in MN and TX
A space for your voice, radical self-acceptance, and a new passion for life
Welcome! I’m Margaret.
Come spend a season with me!
I help parents of neurodivergent children tend to their own struggles so that they can parent from a place of love and connection.
AND,
I support parents of children who have come out as LGBTQ+ so they can speak freely about their own feelings and parent through acceptance and love.
Do you find yourself pushing aside particular thoughts or feelings?
Do you notice you’re checking out or feeling numb a lot, especially lately?
Have you tried replacing painful thoughts with “positive thoughts”?
When you’re scrolling, is something nagging at you?
Is there something important but you just can’t quite face it?
You are your child’s best advocate - so, how about some support for you?
Raising a child who is neurodivergent or LGBTQ+ is a journey filled with unique joys and complex stressors. But in the middle of IEP meetings, research, and your child’s identity discovery, who is supporting YOU?
As a queer, neurodivergent therapist, I provide a dedicated therapeutic environment for parents and adults to be heard and to practice new tools so they can lead their family with clarity and connection.
My clients experience success because we work together as a team. At first, we’ll make space for difficult thoughts, feelings, and physical responses. Then, we’ll practice evidence-based tools and strategies so that you can live your life the way you want to and not be dragged around by the worst thoughts.

Some of My Work
Parents of Neurodivergent Children
You’ve probably spent a lot of time deep-diving into Google at 2:00 AM, sitting in IEP meetings, or composing emails. I’m guessing you’re exhausted.
Let me provide care for you.
Parents of LGBTQ children
People might ask, ‘If my child is the one struggling, why am I in therapy?’ Here’s the truth: You are your child’s most important environment.
When we are supported, we have more to offer our children.
People with Alexithymia
For people who are high logic but who feel confused when someone asks: how do you feel? I’m a sleuth at helping people find what’s there.
Gender-Affirming Surgery Letters
